Tender description

NIE Networks is the electricity Distribution Network Operator (DNO) & Transmission Network Owner in Northern Ireland. NIE Networks has identified that a mobile mapping project is needed as part of a longer term GIS Strategy to implement a modernised mobile mapping solution for all operational staff in the field to improve operational efficiency and safety. NIE Networks would like to invite interested parties to attend separate market engagement sessions relating to the project. The objective is to understand what exists in the market & consider various technical options that are available. The information obtained through this process will be retained by NIE Networks & will not be released to ensure confidentiality. The information will be used to add to the procurement strategy surrounding the project. NIE Networks plan to hold separate sessions on 10th,11th&12th April 2019. The deadline for suppliers to register is 12noon Friday 29th March 2019 or the first 10 suppliers to register their interest, which ever comes first. Please note NIE Networks cannot guarantee an invitation to a session & subject to availability. The closing date & time to register is 12 noon 29th March 2019. Within the project in eSourcingNI there are a number of attachments providing some background to the project that should be viewed to understand NIE Networks requirements. Please note that due to the need to meet suppliers who can best meet NIE Networks needs for this project it may be necessary to decline a suppliers request to participate were that suppliers “short narrative of your experience in delivering this type of project” is deemed not relevant.
