S1103 - Provision of Asbestos Survey and Monitoring Services

Tender description

NIE Networks’ Asbestos Management Plan, approved by the NIE Networks Health and Safety Management Committee (HSMC), requires all Asbestos Surveying and Monitoring requirements to be carried out by qualified surveyors and that sample analysis is carried out in UKAS accredited laboratories. Health and Safety Legislation mandates that this work is carried out to protect employees and others from the potentially deadly effects of inhaling asbestos fibres. The current Framework Agreement is due to expire on the 15th April 2017 and NIE Networks aims to establish a Framework Agreement (as a result of this tender competition) with a suitably qualified and experienced Contractor in late February/early March 2017. This will enable the appointed Contractor with enough time to have delivery personnel safety trained in time for contract commencement on the 16th April 2017.
