Tender description
The aims of the services for adults are to provide a sustainable, evidenced based, high quality, value for money elective care service to NHS patients, supporting the 18 week waiting time target, providing patient choice and diversity, and promoting affordable innovative service models. The Provider will be required to treat patients aged 18 years and over, referred from General Practitioners. The services for adults will provide: • Clean, high quality and safe care • Good access to services • Equity and fairness • Responsive and patient-centred care • Efficient use of resources • Good health outcomes • Good patient experience. The Provider must work in accordance with the NHS Standard Contract and supporting guidance at all times and will be paid for in line with Payment by Results. The service will triage, treat and provide advice back to the referrer where possible. For those patients requiring treatment or further consultation, these will be assessed and allocated to the most appropriate health professional within the service. The overall service objective is to implement a service model which provides an integrated, multidisciplinary team approach to the delivery of the whole care pathway as agreed, providing outpatients, diagnostics, surgery as inpatient or day case and rehabilitation. Harrogate and Rural District Clinical Commissioning Group (the CCG) request information regarding your organisation and your ability to deliver services, within the geographical boundary of the CCG and within good proximity excellent transport links, on or by 1 September 2015. The contract for the current provider expires on 31 March 2015. The CCG is therefore seeking expressions of interest to inform the need for a competitive procurement exercise to be undertaken.
