Tender description

The objective of this project is to carry out an in-depth review and assessment of the Quality Assurance (QA) policies, and compliance with the procedures set out, currently in place for three high profile models and the interactions between them: National Atmospheric Emissions Inventory (NAEI)2; Pollution Climate Mapping model (PCM); and Impact Pathway Model (IPM). The work will involve reviewing the QA policy, procedures and their implementation for each model and for the interfaces between them to increase the Authorities confidence in the models and how they are being managed. The Authority seek to understand the suitability of QA activities carried out and the evidence of analytical assurance to reduce risk (e.g. internal review reports, documentation of developer testing, verification and validation of interim and final outputs, input data checks, etc.).
