Tender description

The Food and Farming Group (FFG) is part of the core department and one of several groups within Defra and is responsible for delivering environmental, economic and health benefits by developing new relationships and ways of working that enable food and farming to manage risk, connect with markets and assure the safety and sustainable environmental impact of our food supply systems. It has a mix of programme and project work plus ongoing functions that are required to ensure delivery of its objectives. The Authority is seeking to establish a number of framework agreements for different service lots for Contractors to support the Food and Farming Group across the range of research, statistics and analytical services. Successful bidders will be required to sign framework agreement(s) with Defra within the specific lots and then subsequently may be asked, where capable of performing the proposed individual contract, to participate in a mini-competition for that particular contract. The Framework will be available for use by the Rural Payments Agency.
