Replacement of current BT Central Pipe and IP Stream service

Tender description

Derry City Council is seeking replacement of its current BT Central Pipe and IP Stream service for smaller remote sites with a more up to date service that will achieve the council aims for an enhanced bandwidth service to smaller sites to service both data and voice requirements. At this time the council operates a single 2mbit/s central pipe into its Strand Road main offices and IP Stream 512 & 1000 services to 17 sites. These services currently carry email and file traffic (some via Citrix) from centrally located servers at the Strand Road Council offices to the remote sites. Centralised Internet access is also managed through the current network. As part of the Council’s wider data and voice centralisation strategy we are seeking a new private Wide Area Network solution for a number of satellite sites in place, and possibly future sites, providing connectivity to the Council Main office at Strand Road. The remote sites in scope consist on average, of 3-10 users per site.
