Replacement Bus Wash at Great Victoria Street Belfast

Translink is the public transport provider of bus and rail services in Northern Ireland and is the ‘brand name umbrella’ under which operates the 3 public transport companies – Ulsterbus, Metro and Northern Ireland Railways (NIR). Translink operate a number of automated bus washes at most main depots. The wash to be replaced is located at Great Victoria Street Belfast. The existing wash is a Smith Bros & Webb Britannia Streamline and was installed in 2000. A Kirton Partial Water Reclaim unit is also included. The wash is situated in an enclosed building with open ends. This also accommodates a fuelling bay. Scope of Services The scope of works includes: • Supply and installation of new wash (Mechanical and Electrical). • Option to supply and fit replacement reclaim tank. • Provision of staff training for the replacement wash. • Provision of relevant documentation. • Support and Warranty provision. Exclusions Work excluded from the contract includes: • Removal and disposal of existing wash. • Any building work. • Provision of any new power supplies. Translink will be responsible for the above items, but the contractor will be required to define any requirements. It is the responsibility of the contractor to visit the site to ensure they fully understand the scope. Maintenance Requirements Maintenance is required for a period of 1 year with an option for an extension for a further 3 periods of 1 year each.
