Renal Satellite Haemodialysis Service

Tender description

In order to meet the sustained demand for haemodialysis The Dudley Group NHS Foundation Trust (DGFT) invites tenders for the continued provision of the adult (18 plus years) haemodialysis facility within the Dudley area and will enter into a partnership with the successful service provider for dialysis provision. Contract reimbursement for dialysis activity will be on the basis of a fully inclusive cost per patient treatment. The duration of the contract will be for an initial period of 7 years with the option to extend annually thereafter for a maximum of a further three years. The service provider will be encouraged to produce pricing schedules demonstrating economies of scale as activity increases. The service provider is expected to work with the DGFT to identify savings through efficiencies in service delivery. The DGFT will ensure a named DGFT Consultant Nephrologist (TCN) acts as a point of contact for any concerns regarding patients on haemodialysis and will attend the unit to undertake Quality Assurance sessions once per month. TCN will also undertake outpatient clinics within the unit. The DGFT Nephrology Consultants are medically responsible for the patients. An open meeting for potential providers will be head at the Authority premises during w/c 12 June 2017, and the deadline for receipt of queries regarding the procurement documents is 12 noon on 22 June 2017.
