Requirement title: REMOVAL OF REDUNDANT MATERIALS FROM TRACKSIDE This is a requirement for Translink and returns for this section are due by: 15:00 UK Local Time Tuesday 14 June 2011 Translink, comprising of Northern Ireland Railways, Metro and Ulsterbus is the all embracing title for the integrated public transport operations in Northern Ireland. Expressions of interest are sought from suitably qualified and experienced contractors for the removal of redundant materials across the Translink network, including trackside areas. Services will include • The recovery and potential disposal of materials such as railway sleepers, rail, pads and insulators from across the network. • The relocation of Northern Ireland Railways plant and machinery as required to sites throughout Northern Ireland The winning bidder will possess relevant experience of plant commensurate with railway activity, appropriate licences for transportation and disposal of redundant materials/waste and be available for out of hours working at short notice. The aim of this exercise is to appoint one contractor for a period of 12 months with an option of a further 12 month extension. The anticipated start date is Quarter 3 Year 2011.
