Relocation Services: Heavy Baggage, Unaccompanied Airfreight & Private Vehicles

OJEU REF: 2011/S 152-253101 UK-London: employee relocation services The Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) is seeking to put its Contract for the movement of the heavy baggage, unaccompanied air freight (UAF) and private vehicles of staff overseas out to tender. The new contract will run for 28 months with the possibility of a one year, plus one year extension. The services as currently provided are: • movement of heavy baggage: the main body of a member of staff’s personal and household effects; • UAF: essential items of clothing and equipment needed immediately on arrival at, or departure from, an overseas Post in addition to the free accompanied baggage allowed by airlines; • movement of private vehicles; The FCO is proposing to amalgamate the existing two contracts into a single one with a start date of 1 May 2012; the total value of the new contract will be in the region of up to £10 million per annum. As stated in the OJEU notice, in addition to meeting the requirements of the FCO as Contracting Authority, this contract will be used to meet the same requirements of Department for International Development (DfID), the British Council, and the Serious Organised Crime Agency (SOCA). The FCO is seeking to invite a range of suitably qualified companies to tender for these services, subject to the completion of the online pre-qualification questionnaire (PQQ) and our resultant evaluation of your suitability to tender for these requirements. This evaluation will primarily be based on your legal and financial standing, together with your capacity and technical competence to deliver such services based on your size, track record and experience to date.
