PSNI - Collator Unit (Publications Branch)

Tender description

Police Service of Northern Ireland - Collator and Booklet Maker System The successful tenderer must provide a new Collator unit and also ‘trade in’ the PSNI’s existing machine. This is a mandatory requirement. The existing machine is a Horizon Collator MC80 with Stitcher and Folder SPF-1011. It is 15 years old. The existing machine must not be removed until the new one is ready to be installed. Tenderers can view this machine at: Publications Branch PSNI Lisnasharragh 42 Montgomery Road BELFAST BT6 9LD. The successful tenderer must remove PSNI’s existing machine prior to installing their new one. This contract should include (and be costed accordingly): Procurement of a Collator and Booklet Maker System; A trade in price for the PSNI’s existing machine, which must be offset against the cost of the new machine. (Details of the original price for the new machine, the trade in value for the PSNI’s exiting machine, and then the net cost for the new machine must be provided within the pricing schedule); Installation/commission of this Collator and Booklet Maker System at Publications Branch; Training of the staff who will operate the Collator and Booklet Maker System at Publications Branch; At least 1 year warranty (year 1 warranty is mandatory), to start immediately after the commissioning of the Collator and Booklet Maker System at Publications Branch. This warranty should include a service agreement (pre-planned); a maintenance agreement (ad hoc breakdowns, etc); all parts; all labour. Tenderers should state what is included in this first year warranty. PSNI would welcome 2 further 12-month warranty periods (a total of 3 years warranty overall - desirable). The costs for any warranty periods outside the mandatory 1 year should be stated separately. Details should be given for what is included in any extra warranty periods.
