Tender description

Central Procurement Directorate (CPD) on behalf of its Client, the Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI), Transport Services Branch (TSB) requires a competent Contractor to armour Skoda Octavia vehicles for PSNI operations. All 69 vehicles must be completed and delivered to PSNI within 30 weeks from contract award. All vehicles will be supplied by TSB. The PSNI exists to make Northern Ireland safer for everyone through professional, progressive policing. The PSNI came into being in November 2001 as a result of a review of policing in Northern Ireland. The Service currently has an establishment of approximately 7,500 regular police officers and supported by approximately 3,000 civilian staff. The Service is responsible for policing a geographic area of some 14,139 km2 (or 5,459 square miles) with a population of approximately 1.7m people.
