***** THIS IS AN AWARD NOTICE, NOT A CALL FOR COMPETITION ***** This procurement is being concluded following a mini competition form an invitation to quote Brief Description of Requirement The purpose of this procurement is to appoint a provider or a consortium of experts to provide an economic appraisal related to developing an environmentally sustainable ocean economy and costal communities across the UK. This is intended to inform an economic case as part of developing a successful business case based on HM Treasury's five-part business case model to secure potential government investment in developing a precompetitive, multi/inter-disciplinary research and innovation programme that will support the development of an environmentally sustainable ocean economy and coastal communities, to drive environmental sustainability and prosperity by providing science validated evidence and baselines. It is intended that the outputs of this tender will provide a structure and content (for example but not limited to economic costs and benefits of developing an environmentally sustainable ocean economy and coastal communities across the UK, that can be readily converted into an economic case as part of a successful business case for securing new public and private investment in establishing a precompetitive multidisciplinary research and innovation programme to address knowledge gaps and advance this area as part of a whole-systems approach.
