Provision of Network Wide Ultrasonic Rail Testing N. I. Railways seeks expressions of interest from suitably qualified and experienced contractors for the provision of “Network Wide Ultrasonic Rail Testing”. The service requirements will include the following: •Provision of Approved Rail Mounted Plant to traverse the NIR Network for the purpose of ultrasonic rail testing either self propelled or loco hauled. •The testing of all rail in both directions, in accordance with the Network Rail Standard for the Ultrasonic Testing of Rail. To include automated U15 and U16 testing. •The electronic capture of all data , by GPS location and Track Mileage. •The analysis of the data complete with data archiving and maintenance on a web based network map data base. Run on run comparison of data for the management of defects left in track. Post test, verification of defects found, with verification information uploaded to the data base. •The data retention for comparison with year on year results. •The provision of a reporting system from which reports, trends, and verification information can be maintained and created detailing the results. •Capable of testing at speeds of up to 40mph
