Provision of Railway Signalling Engineering Services

Tender description

To assist with the delivery of the Infrastructure programme of Capital and Maintenance works projects over the next two years. The Signalling Department within Northern Ireland Railways wishes to establish a list of suitably qualified Signalling Engineering companies who will be invited to tender for the provision of various services. The duration of this arrangement will be two years plus two annual extension options. Services for projects within the framework may include the following; • Asset Condition surveys & reports • Feasibility studies & option reports • Site surveys and records updates • Scheme development design • Level Crossing ground plan production • Prevention & mitigation of overruns assessments • Detailed Signalling design • Systems interface design • Provision of on-site design cover during commissioning The majority of the works will range from 10,000 GBP to 200,000 GBP. The above services shall be carried out to Network Rail and NIR standards and undertaken by competent engineers that hold the appropriate IRSE licenses. The closing date for expressions of interest is 1500 hours on Thursday 16th December 2010.
