Provision of Non-Personalised Pre Printed Smartcards

Tender description

Translink (Comprising of Citybus Ltd, Northern Ireland Railways Co Ltd and Ulsterbus Ltd) and including Northern Ireland Transport Holding Company (NITHC) (known as `The Group`) are seeking to appoint a supplier who can produce and deliver non personalised pre-printed smartcards Since 2002, Translink have offered and continue to offer discounted commercial ticket products on non-personalised pre-printed smartcards which are read by Wayfarer supplied electronic ticket machines. As part of Translink’s strategy to further expand their sales of discounted products on smartcard media, Translink’s Ticketing Systems Department have requirements for the production and delivery of additional sets of non-personalised smartcards pre-printed with Translink’s standard artwork. Once delivered from the supplier Translink will not attempt to print any further information onto the exterior of the cards. However, Translink will use their ticketing equipment to electronically encode the smartcard prior to use by the customer. PLEASE SEE THE FULL JOINT PQQ / ITT Documentation for further details.
