Provision of Natural Gas The aim of this exercise is to award the contract to 1 or multiple suppliers. The anticipated start date is September 2011. Dates may be subject to change. Background Translink is the brand name of the organisation responsible for operating integrated public transportation services within Northern Ireland. The organisation is comprised of three companies: Citybus Limited (referred to as Metro), Northern Ireland Railways Company Limited, and Ulsterbus Limited. Translink is a commercial operation and seek VFM in all aspects of its business. Scope Translink has 12 gas supplies in the Belfast area consuming approximately 6,350 KWh P/A Sites use gas primarily for heating and 3 use gas for paint baking operations. Four sites are on a “contract” type tariff; the remainder are on commercial tariffs.
