Provision of Interim Beds

Tender description

To meet the needs of the patients of East Kent, service provider(s) are required to provide a 20 bedded unit within each main locality, or a suitable nearby location, which will allow patients to be assessed within an appropriate 'non acute' environment. The bed provision required is: Ashford Area: 20 Beds Canterbury Area: 20 Beds Thanet Area: 20 Beds Once a patient has been transferred to a non acute bed, the Service Provider will be responsible for the patients' duty of care and must case manage the patients care through throughout their stay. The service provider will provide a supported environment in which patients can recover from an acute episode of treatment or illness and gain maximum independence for their case needs. An additional Twenty (20) beds will be dedicated to patients within the Non-Weight Bearing Pathway. EKHUFT is looking to commission two bed bases for patients on a NWB Pathway; ten (10) beds within the Ashford locality and ten (10) beds within the Canterbury &/or Thanet locality.
