Provision of Flight, International Rail and Ferry Booking Services

Tender description

The wide range of the BBC’s output means that travel is necessary both within Europe and Internationally across a whole range of programme related genre’s, including news, natural history, documentaries and sport. This procurement is divided into two Lots. Lot 1 A single supplier to provide air, ferry and international rail services (predominantly Eurostar) for bookings of 9 passengers or less. Historically spend has been c£10m per annum with around 40,000 transactions for this Lot. This Lot will include but not be limited to:- - a strong online and offline offering - ability to accept bookings through the BBC’s Single Sign On process - usage of SAML Single Sign On process with the ability to accept a charge code to associate to a booking not a person and/or the ability to validate a charge code per booking both online and offline - online booking capability and support 24/7/365 - offline support capability 24/7/365 - the provision of a full suite of management information and reporting - ability to process and report on the management information for bookings made via Lot 2 - ability to work in partnership with the BBC in order to provide a cost effective travel service Lot 2 A framework of suppliers to provide offline specialist air and travel services for group (10 or more passengers) or specialist bookings that cannot be made via the managed service provision. Historically spend has been c£5m per annum with circa 7000 transactions for this Lot. This Lot will include but not be limited to:- - a strong offline offering for bookings for multi-passenger/multi-sector/complex bookings - offline support capability 24/7/365 - the provision of a full suite of management information and reporting. This is to be provided to the Lot 1 provider in order for the BBC to hold all data in one place. - ability to validate cost codes - ability to work in partnership with the BBC in order to provide a cost effective travel service
