Tender description

Translink is the public transport provider of bus and rail services in Northern Ireland and is the ‘brand name umbrella’ under which operates the 3 public transport companies – Ulsterbus, Metro and Northern Ireland Railways (NIR). Ulsterbus and Metro have 38 fuel tanks and 49 heating oil tanks across Northern Ireland. The objective of the project is to provide greater control of the fuel management in Ulsterbus and Metro depots and stations. As part of this strategy it has been agreed to update the bulk fuel measuring equipment to an electronic tank gauging system that has a suitable method of transferring information to ensure all persons with responsibility for fuel, at both local and centralised locations, can have full monitoring capability.
