Provision of Drain,Interceptor Cleaning and Emergency Environmental Services

NITHCo/Translink, comprising of Northern Ireland Railways, Metro, and Ulsterbus is the all embracing title for the integrated public transport operations in Northern Ireland, otherwise known as the contracting Authority NITHCo/Translink requires a suitably qualified, experience and competent contractors(s) to provide the following requirements Lot 1 – Provision of Drain and Interceptor Cleaning. This contract covers the cleaning of drains, interceptors, bus and train washes, including call off requirement for drain jetting services, drain/sewer cleaning, CCTV surveys of foul and storm drainage systems, gulley cleaning services and the disposal of any associated hazardous waste at various sites throughout the translink network in accordance with current legislation. Lot 2 – Provision of Emergency Environmental Services. This contract covers mitigating actions that may be required to prevent possible contamination that may arise form accidental spillage of diesel fuel, heating oil and other similar bulk liquid materials, the service requirement is 24hrs a day, 52 weeks per year with an onsite presence anywhere in Northern Ireland within 4 hours of call out The initial contract will be for a period of 3 years with options to extend for a further 2 periods of 1 year each.
