Tender description

The European Union’s INTERREG IVA Cross Border programme, managed by the Special EU Programmes Body (SEUPB) are funding a tri-regional sectoral enhancement programme for the Creative Industries sector, named the Honeycomb Creative Works programme. The eligible regions are Northern Ireland (excluding Greater Belfast), the six southern border counties of Ireland to include Counties Louth, Monaghan, Cavan, Sligo, Leitrim and Donegal, and Western Scotland to include Lochaber, Skye and Lochalsh, Arran and Cumbrae and Argyll and Bute, Dumfries and Galloway, East Ayrshire and North Ayrshire mainland and South Ayrshire. Honeycomb Creative Works is a collaboration between the Dundalk Institute of Technology, Creative Skillset, and is led by the University of Ulster. The following sectors/subsectors have been chosen as the target audience/beneficiaries of the programme: • Animation • Film & broadcast • Game design and development • Interactive media to include design and app development • Music technology (creation & distribution with an emphasis on creation) Honeycomb Creative Works is an innovative programme that will build new skills and knowledge, and spark new connections and business opportunities both within and between digital content makers in the three regions. The programme supports the development of new business ideas in digital content, as well as innovative approaches to bringing these ideas to life through research, networking, skills development and access to project finance.
