Provision of Catering Services at Mossley Mill

Mossley Mill, one of two Civic Headquarters of Antrim and Newtownabbey Borough Council is a leading example of how industrial heritage can be brought back to life and provides a unique and attractive setting for a variety of uses. Situated just 10 minutes from Belfast, the iconic Mill chimney dominates the approach to Mossley Mill. The 19th century Linen Mill has been beautifully restored, and transformed into a striking contemporary venue. Surrounded by landscaped grounds the Mill has a range of fully flexible event spaces that can be tailored to meet a host of requirements. The exposed brick vaulted ceilings and iron columns of the 1800s how feature in a variety of meeting spaces whilst a 400 seat performing arts venue “Theatre at the Mill” is the last word in elegance and a stunning event space as well as a popular performing arts venue.In 2013, the Council created its ‘Yarns’ brand of homespun hospitality with the aim being to offer a flawless experience for all visitors by meeting their needs and providing a high quality hospitality service from tea and coffee through to high end banqueting. Within the main Mill building Yarns Bistro delivers a range of hospitality to various visitors and is open to the public. The main site’s fully equipped kitchen is located within this facility. In addition, the Yarns Bar and Yarns Coffee Halt, services are delivered on site from Theatre at the Mill. The Council is committed to the provision of this homespun hospitality to perfectly complement any visit to the Mill from casual coffee through to formal dinner. The Council is seeking a catering services provider who can provide this service seamlessly in partnership with the Council.
