Provision of a Reading List Service

Tender description

Ulster is a university with a national and international reputation for excellence, innovation and regional engagement. The University, with campuses at Belfast, Coleraine, Jordanstown and Londonderry, a student population of over 26,000 and some 966 academic staff, makes a major contribution to the economic, social and cultural development of Northern Ireland and plays a key role in attracting inward investment. Its core business activities are teaching and learning, widening access to education, research and innovation and technology and knowledge transfer. At Ulster, reading lists created to support student learning are managed and made accessible by the Library through the Talis List web application. There are currently some 3,093 lists composed of 100,302 published entries available in Talis List. The University is seeking to migrate the data stored in Talis List to a suitable new service, preferably, remotely hosted and demonstrably capable of providing the functionality, interfaces and facilities.
