Provision for Courier Services

Tender description

The BBC wishes to engage with a Courier Managed Service Provider to manage and supply (with vehicles, drivers and riders as required) for a same day, overnight delivery & collection service through their own distribution network, third party providers outside of their network and preferred suppliers nominated by the BBC; for packages, technical equipment and programme related material from BBC buildings, external shooting locations and numerous other locations. There are approximately 28,000 bookings annually across the services with 60% of the requirement same day within the M25, 18% same day regionally (outside the M25), 20% Overnight UK wide and 2% International. The main regional hubs are Birmingham, Cardiff, Glasgow and Manchester/Salford with a smaller requirement in Bristol & Newcastle. The supplier will be required to work with the BBC to integrate a single sign on solution for users, to import and validate cost objects supplied via a daily feed and to submit consolidated invoices to the BBC’s specified format.
