Professional Video, Digital and Audio Tape, including Disc Based Formats

The BBC is seeking to establish Framework Agreements for the supply and delivery of an extensive range of Professional Video, Digital and Audio Tape and Disc Based Recording Formats, Cards and Devices. The product range will be compatible with existing equipment and technical standards within the BBC and reflect the operational needs of the BBC during the lifetime of the framework contract. This will be dynamically managed to reflect changing technologies employed within the broadcast environment to ensure the BBC keeps itself aligned with the latest technology. Comprehensive technical environments may be required by the BBC. All products will generally be available from stock, supported by appropriate inventory levels from Suppliers with proven experience of dealing with large multi-site organisations. A range of rapid delivery solutions will be required to all BBC premises across the UK, with next day delivery as a standard offering and incorporated into the pricing of all products. The purchasing of products will vary from small ad-hoc requirements through to large volumes, as required, and be ordered across the UK via an electronic catalogue, managed by the successful Suppliers. The requirement is broken down into 11 lots: Lot 1 – DVC Pro Tape, including cleaning tapes; Lot 2 – DVCAM Tape, including chipped and/or non-chipped, including cleaning tapes; Lot 3 – Mini DV Tape including chipped and/or non-chipped, including cleaning tapes; Lot 4 – Digital Betacam Tape, including cleaning tapes; Lot 5 – HDCAM Tape, including cleaning tapes; Lot 6 – HDCAMSR Tape, including cleaning tapes; Lot 7 – Linear Tape Open, including cleaning tapes; Lot 8 – XDCAM Disc with single or multiple layers; Lot 9 – CD's & DVD's and Mini Discs in various recording formats; Lot 10 – Disc Based Duplication Services and Printing Equipment, including associated accessories; Lot 11 – Digital Storage Media.
