Procurement of External Audit Services

Tender description

Northern Ireland Transport Holding Company is the public corporation responsible for delivery of integrated public transport services within Northern Ireland. Services are delivered by three principal operating subsidiaries, NI Railways, Ulsterbus and Metro. Translink is a trading name of the group. The group is one of Northern Ireland’s largest employers with approximately 4,000 employees at 80 locations province wide. 77 million passengers are carried annually. It is desired to appoint a suitably qualified and experienced organisation to undertake the following: • Provision of external audit services, including auditing of capital and revenue grant claims, to the Group and all subsidiaries. • Provision of assistance and advice in relation to corporate governance issues. • Assistance (as required) with the preparation of Statutory accounts for all group companies, including consolidated statutory accounts. • Provision of corporate tax compliance services to all group companies. • Provision of other advice as required from time to time. Organisations tendering for external audit and associated taxation services should note that the external auditors will not normally be permitted to carry out other non audit or consultancy work except where the total value of such work does not exceed the higher of £25,000 or 20% of the audit/taxation fee.
