BBC Alerting and Notification system The BBC is looking for a commercial off the shelf product that will meet its business continuity alerting and notification needs. We are looking for a service that can be provided by a third party, with sufficient resilience to cope with a UK national crisis. The BBC requires a system to alert a group of people that a significant incident has occurred, or may be imminent and sends a notification to join a conference facility or information about the incident. The system will contact staff using a variety of methods until a response from the recipient is acknowledged.
