Main/Principal Contractor Refurbishment of ECOS Millennium Environmental Centre, Kernohan’s Lane, Broughshane Road, Ballymena Mid and East Antrim Borough Council invites suitably qualified, competent and experienced contractors to complete a Pre-Qualification Questionnaire to undertake works comprising refurbishment of the existing building at ECOS, Kernohan’s Lane, Broughshane Road in Ballymena. The works will comprise the refurbishment of existing boiler/plant areas, galleries and meeting rooms to form lettable space, refurbishment of the existing cafe, minor structural alterations and re-roofing works. Associated external works and services upgrading. The anticipated budget for the works is approximately £1,500,000.00. Contractors wishing to apply for this tender must be registered with Constructionline in one of the following categories for works value of £1,500,000.00 or greater: Building – General; Mechanical Engineering – General; Mechanical Engineering – Boilers; Mechanical Engineering – Heating; Electrical Engineering – General Contractors must have a third party accredited Health & Safety Management System. Contractors must have Public Liability Insurance and Employers Liability Insurance to the value of £10M The anticipated programme for these works is commencement in October 2015 with completion by June 2016.
