Tender description

NITHC / Translink have a mandatory requirement to retain the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) Certification. The fundamental purpose of this standard is to ensure that valuable cardholder data is secure. Any organization which stores, transmits or processes cardholder account and transaction data must comply with these standards. As a merchant, NITHC/Translink accepts payments cards (annual turnover in excess of £20 million – approximately 600,000 transactions per year) through streams including point of sale and mobile devices, and e-commerce such as web and mail/telephone orders. To date, Translink has acquired PCI-DSS accreditation . Translink have availed of Qualified Security Assessor services in order to maintain the standard and have developed in-house competence (2 Internal Security Assessors (ISA)) There is a need for Translink to maintain their PCI accreditation.
