Passenger Transport Minibus Framework

Tender description

The Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea and Westminster City Council (the ‘Bi-Borough’) would invites suitable tenders for inclusion in the Passenger Transport Minibus Framework. The service will provide minibus transport for children and young people with special educational needs travelling to school or college, and vulnerable adults travelling to day activities. The Councils are looking for a minibus service which will deliver: • a customer focussed service • strong communication with all stakeholders • a good understanding of the needs of our service users • a safe, consistent, and appropriate service Tenderers will be entitled to bid for one or both of the following Lots: • Children's Lot 1: Minibus transport for children and young people with special educational needs and/or disabilities eligible for travel assistance to school or to college. • Adult's Lot 2: Minus transport for vulnerable adults travelling to day activities Two Call off Contracts within Children's Lot 1 (Children's Contract 1A and Children's Contract 1B) and one Call off Contract within Adult’s Lot 2 will (Adult's Contract 2A) be awarded at the point of appointment to the Framework. Further detail regarding the requirements and award criteria for the appointment to the Framework, and the award of Contracts are detailed in the Instructions to Tender documentation. Tenderers may bid for all three Call off Contracts, but no one Tenderer will be awarded both Children's Lot 1 Contract 1A and Children's Lot 1 Contract 1B. This tender represents a great opportunity to be part of the Minibus Services in the Bi-Borough which jointly provides minibus services to around 450 residents, across 50 regular routes over a number of contracts.
