Post Production for BBC Panorama Now in its 62nd year Panorama is the BBC’s multi award winning flagship current affairs programme. In 2015/16 the Panorama Strand will transmit 40 x 30’ programmes and up to 8 x 60’ Specials over 52 weeks. Transmission of the 30’ programmes is on BBC1 Monday nights at 8.30pm. This RFP covers the post production for the London in house 30’ programmes (20 x 30 in 15/16) and associated WW versioning. The successful supplier will also post produce at least 1 out of the forecasted 3 London in house 60’ specials. It is assumed that the same pricing model for the Strand 30’ episodes will be applied for the 60’ specials. The remainder of the strand will be commissioned from in house BBC production teams outside London as well as independent production companies. The contract winners will be called on to provide material or support for these deliveries on a case by case basis. The post production schedule for Panorama is extremely pressurised with new material routinely delivered at late notice. Delivery is often only hours before transmission.
