Tender description

The Project will consist of the construction of two new stations at Willenhall and Darlaston and supporting rail infrastructure works, on the route between Walsall and Wolverhampton to support access for new train services that increase connectivity in the Greater Birmingham area. To meet this objective the project shall deliver: a) Two new two platform stations with 4 car platforms at each; b) Lift access on all platforms; c) Footbridge at both stations linking the platforms; d) Surface level car parking and drop off facilities at both stations; e) Passive provision for future station facilities; and f) Track, OLE and signalling works to facilitate the new stations and train services. Tenderers are directed to the Project Summary, Scope and the design information for a detailed description of the proposed stations. The SQ will close on 17th September 2020.
