Tender description

This Contract is for the supply of certified seed bag seals for use in England and Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland. In accordance with the Seed Marketing Regulations, all official bags of certified seed distributed and supplied by seed companies must be sealed with an approved seal by a person licensed by the APHA. The seals act as a secure tamper proof measure to protect the viability of the seed. Bags of certified seed must be sealed in such a manner that opening the package either damages the sealing system or leaves evidence of tampering on either the label or the packaging. The Contractor shall provide two types of approved seals for use in the UK; official seals for use by Contracting Bodies and trade seals for use by UK licensed seed companies.
