Specification For the Renewal of a Trust-wide Software Licence – NPT Fabio System Nottingham University Hospitals Trust (NUH) is looking to appoint a single contractor to supply a Trust-wide Software licence in respect of the NPT Fabio system to the Trust for a period of 1 year. The Trust was formed on 1 April 2006, when the Queen’s Medical Centre and Nottingham City Hospital merged in order to develop a range of high quality, sustainable patient services across the two campuses. NUH is one of the largest NHS trusts in the UK and provides acute and specialist services to 2.5 million people within Nottingham and the surrounding communities from two hospital sites. NUH’s vision is to become the country’s best acute teaching trust by 2016. The Trust currently has a CQUIN target associated solely with patient experience measurement and improvement and the use of an electronic capture and reporting mechanism is integral to successfully meeting this target. The Trust currently uses Fabio Frog software and Panasonic hardware to deliver the electronic capture and reporting of the required patient experience data. The existing system is paramount to NUH delivering and achieving the patient experience CQUIN requirements. However the software licenses expire in February 2013 and to enable us to deliver our CQUIN requirements for 2012/13, we will need the current software system to be in place for March 2013. The Trust therefore needs to renew the software license with Fabio Frog software or procure a single, consolidated patient experience software survey tool, that provides a comprehensive real-time capture, reporting and alerting mechanism for the Trust from Board to Ward.
