Tender description
The NIFRS Estates Department (the Contracting Authority) wishes to appoint 1 Nr Economic Operator to enter into a Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service Framework for Building Maintenance including the provision of Reactive Maintenance Works, Planned Maintenance Works and Minor Building Works to incorporate Mechanical and Electrical Building Services. The Framework may be accessed by the NIFRS Estates Department within the NIFRS Geographical Area (see Appendix 1). (see http://www.nifrs.org) It is expected that the Economic Operator shall adopt an integrated supply chain approach to managing the provision of the works. The Economic Operator shall make provision to have available any works required 24 hours per day and 365 days per year (including all weekends and all holiday periods). For details of the NIFRS Geographical Area and current list of Fire Stations addresses, (see Appendix 1). During the life time of the Framework, the NIFRS may increase or decrease the number of Fire Stations or the scope of works required. The Contracting Authority wishes to appoint 1 Nr Economic Operator to the NIFRS Geographical Area to enter into a NIFRS Framework for Building Maintenance and Minor Building Works and other related specialist works utilising the PSA Schedule of Rates, NIFRS Civil Engineering Addendum Schedule of Rates, and the GC/Works/7(1999) Measured Term Contract Conditions of Contract. Main categories of works are Reactive Maintenance Works and Planned Maintenance Works (small works orders) and Minor Building Works to incorporate Mechanical and Electrical Building Services, and other related specialist works. Whilst it is the intention of NIFRS Estates Department to deliver a reasonable volume of Reactive Maintenance Works, Planned Maintenance Works and Minor Building Works via this Framework, the NIFRS Estates Department is not under any obligation to make any Call-offs (works orders) under the Framework.
