Tender description

This project is proposed by the Official Solicitor to the Court of Judicature for Northern Ireland who in discharging her role as financial Controller, trustee or guardian is responsible for protecting and maintaining Patients and minors properties both vacant and occupied. As part of this responsibility, it is incumbent on the Official Solicitor to ensure that properties belonging to Patients who are unable to return to reside at home are cleared and the contents sold or disposed of as appropriate. It is in connection with this that the Official Solicitor requires the services of an Auctioneer, Removals and Disposals Company, a need which was identified following a review of the Official Solicitor’s Office. The Auctioneer, Removals and Disposals Company will be responsible for assessing all goods and possessions in a property at the direction of the Official Solicitor and providing a full inventory within 5 working days recommending which items have a resale value and which should be disposed of. The Auctioneer, Removals and Disposals Company will then be responsible for arranging for saleable goods to be sold at auction and if any goods are deemed un-saleable, they will be required to arrange for such goods to be destroyed in an ecological manner in line with statutory waste legislation including the Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment Directive.
