NICS Supply, Delivery and Installation of Office Furniture 2012

Tender description

The Department of Finance and Personnel (DFP) Properties Division (PD) is responsible for property management and accommodation services to the Northern Ireland Civil Service (NICS) and the wider public sector. The responsibility of PD is to supply and maintain furniture and furnishings within and throughout all of the property and accommodation of the NICS Office Estate Government departments, their agencies and Non-Departmental Public Bodies (NDPBs). Approximately 80% of the sites and offices are located within the Greater Belfast area. Projects shall range from the installation of desking, VDT chairs and breakout furniture for hundreds of members of staff per project to the replacement of single workstations. The Furniture will be located in occupied and soon to be occupied offices, storerooms, main reception areas, canteens, mess rooms, etc. They may also be situated within cellular and open plan office buildings in mostly commercial type office premises but, on occasions, they may be in domestic or student grade accommodation or in buildings of historical interest or listings. Please note there is an opportunity for Interested Suppliers to visit a site to view the concept and standards required by Properties Division on either the 16 or 23 August 2012.
