NHSCT DESIGN TEAM APPOINTMENT FOR NEW OFFICE ACCOMMODATION AT GREENMOUNT HOUSE

Tender description

The NHSCT are seeking to appoint a design team to assist the Estates Design Team for the proposed reconfiguration upgrading and improvements to existing office accommodation at Greenmount House Woodside Road Ballymena. The works will be carried out in a live office environment where existing financial based transactions and management are carried out It is anticipated (although not exhaustive) that the works will include the, preparation of contract documentation, BOQ, Specifications and Works Schedules, design of steel fire escape stairs, design of additional electrical circuitry, IT and VOIP Installation, Fire alarm alteration to the mechanical installation and the team should have adequate experience of same. The construction works are to be completed and handed over by 28th January 2015. The NHSCT confirm that the following consultants will be required to form part of the design team; Lead Consultant, Quantity Surveyor, Structural Engineer, Mechanical Engineer & Electrical Engineer and CDM coordinator. Schedules of duties for these consultants will be included in ITT. The lead consultant (contract administrator) will be the Quantity Surveyor. The contract period (for consultant services) is 7 months, August 2014 – March 2015, not including the defects liability period.
