NHS Doncaster CCG : Urgent and Emergency Care

NHS Doncaster CCG currently commissions Urgent and Emergency Care (UEC) services across Doncaster. In 2015, four separate contracts were awarded for urgent and emergency care provision across: • Front Door Assessment Streaming Service • Same Day Health Centre • Urgent Treatment Centre including GP Out Of Hours (OOH) • Emergency Care Practitioner services The Doncaster UEC system has been strengthened significantly due to a “system” response to local challenges. The key to the local success has been partnership working with provider flexibility and adaptability. Over time, it has become clear that managing and delivering urgent and emergency care services needs to be undertaken as a whole, and that this is most effective through a contractual approach which drives integration and partnerships across providers
