The overall aim of the service is to provide a high quality carpal tunnel service within a convenient community setting, to meet the needs of the people registered with a GP within Doncaster The intention is to provide a community carpal tunnel service in order to offer prompt and increased treatment options. The service shall deliver an enhanced patient experience with reduced waiting times and easier access, for example; compared to traditional approach approaches in secondary care. To provide an accessible, comprehensive, confidential service that offers service users informed choices and appropriate treatment. The procurement process will appoint providers to deliver a ‘Community Carpal Tunnel Service’ which GPs and their patients may choose to refer to following initial clinical assessment and conservative.
