NDBC Eisenhower Pier Improvement Project

Tender description

A successful application for funding support was made as part of the East Border Region Tourism Partnership application to the Special European Union Programmes Body under the banner of Tourism. This funding is being provided to carryout improvement works to Bangor’s Eisenhower Pier to improve in the tourism function of the pier. This to be done through improvements to street furniture, installation of bollards, electrical ducting, informational signage etc. The site is a working pier with vessels utilising the site on a 24hr 7 day a week basis. The pier is also accessible to the general public. Contractors must demonstrate their experience in working within the confines of a live site. North Down Borough Council now intends to engage a consultant to assist the Council’s in-house Project Management Unit by acting as Lead Consultant, Design Team Leader, Designer and Contract Administrator, to assemble a complete professional team, investigate all requirements, prepare and develop the brief, prepare all necessary tender documentation and provide all necessary pre-contract and post-contract consultancy services for this project.
