Tender description
Newtownabbey Borough Council currently has approximately 500 commercial customers, all of which have a weekly collection of mixed waste. This service is carried out by NBC. Approximately 30% of these current commercial customers participate in a paper collection and recycling service which is carried out by a contractor on behalf of NBC. This service is currently operating on a month by month contract. Newtownabbey Borough Council is looking to appoint an experienced and qualified service provider to form a partnership in order to develop this recycling service. We are keen to offer a paper and cardboard recycling scheme to all NBC commercial customers and to increase both participation and capture rates for the scheme.
