MTC for Mechanical Services

Tender description

Belfast City Council, (“the Council”) invites applications from suitably qualified, competent and experienced contractors who wish to be included on a select list for the repair, maintenance & minor works to mechanical services at various Council Properties and locations. The works covered by this contract comprises of the repair and maintenance of mechanical services installations and some minor new work to upgrade existing installations at various locations and shall include • Heating and ventilation. • Cleaning, servicing and general maintenance of heating boilers and burners and all other boiler-house equipment. The work shall further comprise the repair and maintenance and some minor new work to upgrade existing installations including the preparation of boilers for insurance inspection, cleaning, overhauling and repairing of all boiler mountings. • Servicing and general maintenance of ventilation installations to include air handling units, ductworks, dampers, grilles, input and extract fans, grease filters and backdraught shutters, filters, heat recovery units, etc. • The provision of an emergency, twenty-four hour, call-out service to secure and make safe Council property is an essential and integral part of this work and is ‘of the essence’ with regards to the award and performance of the contract. A select list of no more than 6 contractors will be established from which tenders will subsequently be invited. The purpose of this Tender will be to appoint a single contractor. The approximate anticipated budget is £500,000 per year and the contract shall be for a period of one year from appointment with the option to renew for a further two years. The minimum order value will be £25 and the maximum order value will be £30,000.
