Antrim Lough Shore Park is situated on the shore of Lough Neagh and is a popular destination for visitors and residents with its unique history, natural beauty and many attractions and activities to enjoy. Throughout the year, the Council promotes and organises a range of activities and family entertainment events including Sunday band concerts. Events such as the Teddy Bear’s Picnic, Lough Neagh Dragon Boat Race, Winter Wonderland and weekly Parkrun that together help to make the Lough Shore Park a premier experience for families and visitors. Boat Trips around Lough Neagh are also popular in the summer months, these depart from the Lough Shore Park jetty. There is an existing café at Antrim Lough Shore Park and has a well-established trade that is based on being open for business all year round (refer to Appendix 1 for photographs of the existing café). This café will be demolished when the Gateway Centre opens.
