Market Sounding - Expressions of Interest for 2013 World Police and Fire Games

Belfast will host the prestigious World Police and Fire Games (WPFG) from 1 - 10 August 2013. The Games is a truly massive international event. It is the third largest international multi-sport event in the world (after the Olympic Games and the World Masters) and it is almost three times the size of the Commonwealth Games, in terms of competitor numbers. We hope to attract 25,000 visitors from over 70 countries to Northern Ireland for the Games. It will be the largest ever sporting event to be staged in the country, with an estimated 10,000 competitors competing in 65 sports, plus 15,000 friends and family. It is estimated that it will inject at least £15.5m into the local economy which is hugely significant for anyone operating in the tourism, hospitality and service industries. The purpose of this Market Sounding Exercise is to invite potential suppliers and/or sponsors to express an interest in the provision of products, equipment and services to 2013 World Police and Fire Games Ltd. Expressions of interest may be on an exclusively commercial basis, sponsorship basis or a combination of both.
