Tender description

Translink operates over 1,100 vehicles (Ulsterbus) covering the Northern Ireland region and approximately 260 vehicles across the Greater Belfast area (Metro). In 2013/14 there were over 40 million passenger journeys on Ulsterbus services and approximately 26 million passenger journeys on Metro services. We have a number of licences for systems that are currently stand alone applications but this often makes it difficult to extract, manipulate and analyse data sets to help make sound business decisions. A business intelligence solution is required to present data in a way that allows the business to monitor performance and make real-time changes to successfully deliver the growth strategy and enhance the service offering to our customers. The proposal is to procure and implement a system that will enable information to be collected from several existing data streams and interrogated rapidly and easily by the end user.
