Major Projects Leadership Academy This procurement is for Part B services. The Contracting Authority is broadly following the Open procedure; however, for the avoidance of doubt, it does not accept that the provisions within Directive 2004/18/EC applicable to the Open procedure apply to this Procurement. The estimated value of the contract is between £10M and £16.5M. To appoint a Contractor to work in partnership with the Major Projects Authority to design a Major Projects Leadership Academy and to subsequently deliver it to nominated Senior Responsible Owners and Project Directors in order to improve the quality of project leadership in Government. The Contract will involve two phases: - • Phase 1 - involves the Contractor working collaboratively with the Contracting Authority to further develop and refine the Academy offer in respect of its content, structure and teaching/learning approach, including running a pilot module for Project Leaders and a pilot workshop for Permanent Secretaries and Directors General. • Phase 2 - will be the delivery of the full Academy offer developed in Phase 1. The work undertaken by the Contractor in Phase 1 will be paid for by the Contracting Authority (i.e. the Cabinet Office), however the work undertaken by the Contractor in Phase 2 will be paid for by individual Customer Departments whose staff attend the course as delegates. This Contract is for a period of four years (48 months). The Contracting Authority retains the unilateral right, by providing not less than three months’ written notice to the Contractor, to extend the Contract by any number of further periods, the aggregate of which shall not exceed three years (36 months). The estimated value figures given are estimates only for the full potential 7 year period of the Contract.
