M&EA Tender for Active Directory / Email Migration Services Requirement

Mid and East Antrim Council, one of eleven new councils in Northern Ireland, will assume responsibility for the services of three existing councils – Ballymena Borough Council, Carrickfergus Borough Council and Larne Borough Council - as well as a new range of functions, from 1 April 2015. In preparing for 1st April, the Council is working to ensure key back office systems are in place and fit for delivery of services, communications and ICT systems across the Mid and East Antrim Council’s network in order to deliver a coordinated and effective modern service. Due to this restructuring of local government, all council clusters are required to migrate to a new Active Directory infrastructure. This will be an 11 forest model, with each council cluster having agreed to implement the design detailed in the NI Councils Active Directory Design document provided by Microsoft Services. (See Appendix 1) Taking this into account – the 3 Councils are seeking to collaboratively procure technical services to deliver the Active Directory Implementation and Migration and also to move all users to the Outlook 365 Platform.
