Local Employment Intermediary Service (LEMIS 2)

Tender description

The LEMIS 2 Provider will offer an independent, confidential, client focused, flexible, advice and mentoring service to engage unemployed persons in the client priority groups as defined within the tender documents. LEMIS Providers will refer clients to employability interventions (including training or education) delivered by the public, private or community sectors which can assist clients to overcome barriers to employment. There are 5 LEMIS areas in Belfast, 2 in Londonderry and 1 in Strabane. The proposed follow up to Local Employment Intermediary Service (LEMIS 1) has been developed taking account of the findings and recommendations in the LEMIS evaluation report completed by FGS McClure Watters in December 2009 http://www.delni.gov.uk/index/publications/pubs-misc/lemis-evaluation-report.htm . A framework will be set up with the highest ranked service provider in each LEMIS Contract Area being awarded the contract to deliver all services under this contract in that area.
